Get to know me a little better

Hello! My name is Victor Celdran, and if I had to describe myself in a few words, I consider myself an adventurous yogi, always eager to learn and evolve.

With a degree in tourism, since I was young I have lived and worked in different places such as Madrid, Barcelona, Ibiza, London, the island of La Palma, Malaga and even spent a year in several Asian countries.

After more than 15 years working in the tourism sector and later in fashion and advertising, in 2008 in Barcelona, dealing with the daily stress of work and a hectic schedule, I happened upon some vinyasa classes with a very good teacher who introduced me to yoga in an easy, didactic way that also suited me perfectly.

 

Unlike the gym yoga classes of that time, his conscious, fluid and enjoyable classes made me fall in love with a practice that was initially so foreign to me, but which years later would end up leading me to become certified as a teacher in one of the best schools in Barcelona, as well as in India and Thailand from the hand of renowned traditional teachers, learning different modalities of Yoga and Tai Chi, which since I opened my first yoga studio in the Canary Islands, I practice and teach my students in my face-to-face classes and today mostly ONLINE.

Weekly and regular classes with a variety of schedules, styles and intensities, followed by yogis from both Spain and abroad, meeting every week through ZOOM with the common intention of enjoying taking care of ourselves through the practice of yoga, just as I learned when I started: in an intuitive, fun, close way and each one at the level they need.

WHY YOGA?

From brain boosting to muscle strengthening, yoga can improve our physical and mental health, while deepening our spirituality.

This dynamic and empowering exercise focuses primarily on deep, conscious breathing and alignment in yoga postures or asanas, which together with concentration and meditation, create balance, harmony and strength in our lives. It teaches us to pay attention and improves memory, encourages self-care, reduces anxiety and stress, increases self-esteem and makes us feel great.


By making the body more flexible, it improves posture, which relieves aches and pains, which in turn helps in sleeping better, thereby also boosting our immune system. The more we practice yoga, the greater the reward.


The benefits of yoga could be described as peeling an onion: Working first on the outer layer (your body), you then discover more and more positive changes moving inward.
 

Another positive aspect is that it strengthens muscles in a non-violent way, in a calm and peaceful environment. Instead of depleting energy as some exercise methods can do, it helps to accumulate and retain more. This allows us to improve our physical fitness and develop the muscles, both the most visible ones and those that protect the spine and joints. All of this has a very positive effect on our mental health.

The best yoga wherever and whenever you want

It always depends on the circumstances and needs of each yogi. There are those who work all day surrounded by children or face to face with the public and what they need when they finish work is to be able to disconnect once they are home. Working mothers with children prefer to practice once they have finished their household chores or even very early in the morning before starting the day and prefer to do their classes OFFLINE which they have previously received on their device.

For these and other needs, through a simple link from your mobile, tablet or computer, and from the comfort of practicing from home or from any other place with internet access, we have supervised ONLINE face-to-face classes with small groups (up to 12 people) so that you can enjoy quality practice from wherever you want, or the option of OFFLINE classes so that you can do them at any other time.

WHICH YOGA IS RIGHT FOR ME?

 

If we search for “types of yoga” on the internet, we find a lot of information. Yoga here, yoga there... With so many articles and friends telling us that it is wonderful, we cannot stay away from this lifestyle of well-being. Nowadays, there are many varieties and options available to us. But, which one is the best for me?

 

Based on my own experience and with more than 500 hours of different training courses, both taught by international Western teachers (Vinyasa and Yin Yoga) and those taught by Hindu teachers during a year of studies in India (Hatha, Bhakti, Nidra and Therapeutic Yoga), the combination of all of this is what I have adopted for my own practice and what I have shared with my yogis in my regular classes for more than 6 years now.

This class is very popular. Also known as Dynamic or Fluid Yoga, it is based on the belief that physical and mental health are interconnected and therefore both aspects must be worked on together. All Yoga by Victor Celdran classes aim to coordinate breathing and physical movement, improve focus and concentration, and help students regain control of their bodies and minds while toning, detoxing, and relaxing, and always with different options so that we can adjust it to the level we need at that time of day.

OUR ITINERARY

Day 1 :: Marrakech.

 

Pick up from Marrakech airport to our beautiful and centrally located riad in the Medina. Morning and lunch at leisure in the area. After the welcome and presentation of the group we will enjoy a private tour with an official guide through Marrakech and its medina. Afterwards yoga class at sunset on the terrace of our riad, dinner and rest.

Day 2 :: Marrakech - High Atlas Mountains - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Valley of the Roses - Dades Valley.

Gentle yoga practice before breakfast on the terrace of our Riad and departure by private bus to the desert. We will pass through the highest point of Africa called Tizi N' Tichka crossing the High Atlas towards the Kasbah Ait Benhaddou. Continue to Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the backdrop of many world famous films. Continuing through Ouarzazat, also called the Hollywood of Africa, we will arrive at our next hotel in the Dades Valley. Time to relax in the swimming pool and enjoy a new restorative practice overlooking the high mountains. Afterwards dinner in group, time for relaxation and rest.

Day 3 :: Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Erfoud - Merzouga desert camp.

Morning yoga practice and rich breakfast before departing for the Todra Gorges and its valley passing through Tinghir. After visiting the area and lunch we will continue through the dramatic rocky desert and palm groves of Erfoud (capital of fossils). Once we reach Merzouga we will continue the adventure with a camel ride of about 90 minutes through the heart of the Erg Chebbi dunes. In our super camp we will have a special practice watching the spectacle of the sunset in the desert while a delicious Berber dinner awaits us followed by typical drum music under the stars. After enjoying the view of this unique sky we will go to bed in our haimas to rest until the next day.

Day 4 :: Exploration of the Sahara desert regions - Merzouga

We will get up early so as not to miss the sunrise while practicing yoga among the dunes in the purest silence. After a delicious breakfast we will ride our camels back to Merzouga from where we will drive around the mystic dunes of Erg Chebbi, have tea with a nomad family of the desert and continue to Khamlia, a small village inhabited by sub-Saharan natives who will delight us with their traditional Gnawa music. We will visit Rissani, its souk, its market, some of the Kasbah and Ksour of the area and we will finish the morning enjoying an authentic lunch with an endearing local family. Afternoon free at the swimming pool of our hotel on the edge of the desert, practice of soft yoga and dinner.

Day 5 :: Merzouga - Anti Atlas Mountains - Tazarine - Agdz

We will start the day recharged with positive energy with a new practice. We will continue after breakfast to Agdz through the dramatic range of the Anti Atlas Mountains passing through Tazarine, famous Berber village for its groves of Henna. After lunch in Nekkob, a small green palm grove, we arrive in Agdz: small town located on the banks of the Draa River, considered the Nile of Morocco. Once at our hotel, after free time at the swimming pool, we will enjoy a very special Shiatsu massage workshop guided by couples. Dinner at our hotel, free time and rest.


Day 6 :: Agdz - Ouarzazate - High Atlas - Telouet - Marrakech

A gentle morning yoga practice will prepare us for our breakfast and we will start our return trip to Marrakech. We will cross Tizi N'Tinifift, the highest point of the Anti Atlas Mountains. We will pass through Ouarzazate and continue through the High Atlas to reach Telouet or hometown of Pacha Glaoui where we will discover its beautiful decorated Kasbah. We will arrive in Marrakech around 5 pm having free time to stroll through the medina, visit a pending museum, take a bath or massage in one of its famous hammans, bargain in the many stalls of the souks or even practice yoga again in our riad before dinner and then rest.

Day 7 :: Marrakech - Transfer to the airport

In the morning we will enjoy a last yoga practice in our riad, taste our delicious breakfast once again and then, after saying goodbye to this new traveling yogi family that we have created during this wonderful adventure, we will have free time to continue discovering Marrakech on our own until the agreed transfer to the Marrakech airport.

AN ADVENTURE AS EXOTIC AS IT IS WHOLESOME

We will practice different styles of yoga depending on the day and time. In the morning before starting our adventure and/or in the afternoon before dinner at our destination. But always to feel better, always optional and accessible to everyone.
